We are currently recruiting for Community Support Workers to work in our Supported Living Service in Crewe. You would be supporting individuals with a primary diagnosis of a Learning Disability and Complex Needs. This is a rewarding opportunity with real career progression.
We are looking for passionate and caring staff members to join our team working on a night shift basis 7.45pm until 8am or 9.30pm until 9.30am on a full-time basis.
Role Overview:
Contribute to the ongoing support of individuals, promoting their rights, independence and individuality. Provide person-centred support in their homes and the wider community.
You will have involvement in their day-to-day care, assisting with daily living tasks, social and recreational activities.
Promoting their wellbeing, fostering positive relationships and creating a meaningful and valued lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support in line with individual care plans.
- Assist with daily tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, and personal hygiene.
- Encourage and support clients to achieve their personal goals and participate in activities.
- Provide emotional and practical support to individuals, offering reassurance and guidance when needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care delivered.
- Work closely with a supportive team of professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care.

Desirable Attributes:
· Experience of supporting people with a learning disability, autism and complex needs.
· Experience of supporting people who experience distress.
· NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification
· As a Community Support Worker, your daily tasks will include:
ü Providing support and personal care to individuals so they can live as independently as possible.
ü Providing emotional support and encourage individuals to help themselves live fulfilling lives.
ü Carrying out domestic duties such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and helping the individuals with personal finances.
ü Working flexibly according to the individuals needs and wishes.
ü Supporting individuals with administering medication, storage of medication and to follow record keeping procedures.
ü Participating in training opportunities, formal and informal to gain a wide understanding of the individuals needs and disabilities so as to facilitate their independence and choice.
ü Providing the opportunity for individuals to take part in leisure, social and education activities.
ü Managing behaviours of concern and the ability to diffuse situations using a Positive Behaviour Support approach.

Working Relationships
The support worker will be required to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, management colleagues, visitors, carers, visiting professionals, commissioners and registration bodies.
Reward Package
- A competitive salary, depending on qualifications, for working a seven-shift fortnight
- £1 extra per hour overtime rate on top of basic
- Extra 0.50p per hour if you hold a Full UK Manual Drivers Licence and regularly drive the person we supports’ vehicle
- Extra 0.50p per hour if you have an NVQ in Health & Social Care.
