About Krema Bakehouse
Krema Bakehouse is a growing independent bakery in Edinburgh, passionate about creating beautiful, high-quality cakes and baked goods.
We are looking for a talented and experienced Cake Decorator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience specifically in cake decorating, a creative eye and a passion for producing beautifully finished cakes.
The Role
As a Cake Decorator at Krema Bakehouse, you will be responsible for decorating a variety of celebration and wedding cakes to a consistently high standard.
We are looking for someone who is confident working independently, has excellent attention to detail and has at least 2–3 years of professional experience specifically decorating cakes.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience specifically in cake decorating
- Proven experience decorating wedding cakes and celebration cakes
- Confident and skilled in writing on cakes, with neat and consistent handwriting
- Strong ability in hand-drawing and creating designs directly onto cakes
- Good piping, finishing and decorating skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong eye for colour, design and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a consistently high standard
- Reliable, organised and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with sugar paste/fondant is preferred
- Experience covering and decorating cakes with sugar paste
- Sugar flowers, modelling or other specialist cake decorating skills would be an advantage
