Business Development Manager
Job Overview
Strata Fire Protection is looking for an ambitious, driven, and commercially minded Business Development Manager to help grow our presence across the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, BM TRADA Accredited fire protection company specialising in passive fire protection, fire door installation and maintenance, fire stopping, compliance surveys, remedial works and planned preventative maintenance.
As our Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing long-term relationships with clients, and driving sustainable revenue growth. You will work closely with contractors, property managers, housing associations, facilities management companies, local authorities, and commercial property owners to promote our fire protection services.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities throughout the UK.
- Generate qualified leads through networking, prospecting and referrals.
- Build relationships with contractors, developers, housing associations, facilities management companies and commercial clients.
- Arrange and attend client meetings, site visits and presentations.
- Prepare quotations and work alongside our estimating and operations teams.
- Manage the sales pipeline using CRM software.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements.
- Represent Strata Fire Protection at industry events and networking opportunities.
- Maintain excellent relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and new opportunities.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure exceptional customer service from enquiry through to project completion.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience in Business Development, Sales or Account Management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong relationship-building abilities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Desirable
- Experience within Fire Protection, Construction, Building Compliance, Facilities Management or Property Maintenance.
- Knowledge of passive fire protection or fire door compliance.
- Existing network within construction or property sectors.
- Experience tendering for commercial contracts.

Pay: £25,420.00-£65,946.01 per year
