Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Oversee all aspects of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Develop new menus and recipes in collaboration with management to keep offerings fresh and appealing.
- Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and professional development.
- Ensure that all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Maintain a organised kitchen environment that complies with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in menu development and culinary innovation is desirable.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred.
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
