Join Specialist Risk Group’s Credit & Political Risk team and play a key role in structuring and placing bespoke insurance solutions for complex, cross-border transactions. Working with banks, corporates, traders and multilateral institutions, you’ll contribute to high-impact deals at the intersection of finance and geopolitics, with clear scope to build technical expertise and grow your client exposure.
You’ll support the delivery of structured credit and political risk solutions, working closely with clients and insurers across a varied transaction pipeline.
- Structuring and placing credit and political risk policies for banks, corporates, traders and multilateral clients
- Preparing market submissions for complex transactions, including project finance and cross-border facilities
- Building strong relationships with insurers across Lloyd’s and international markets
- Producing clear client materials such as term sheets and structuring notes
- Monitoring geopolitical and macroeconomic developments to inform risk views
- Supporting junior colleagues and contributing to a collaborative team environment
You’ll bring relevant experience in credit and political risk or a closely related discipline, alongside the confidence to work on complex, structured transactions.
- At least 3 years’ experience in CPRI, banking, underwriting or structured finance
- Good understanding of credit and political risk products and insurance markets
- Exposure to structured transactions such as project finance or securitisations preferable
- Strong numerical and Excel skills with confidence handling financial data
- Excellent written communication, with the ability to simplify complex concepts
- Interest in geopolitics and international finance
- Proactive and collaborative approach to working with clients and colleagues
