Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Conveyancing Assistant to join our team. Prior experience is essential. The successful candidate will complete digital dictation but will also undertake tasks in support of the Managing Director and other fee-earners where required, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring smooth transaction progress. Responsibilities
- Assist fee-earners with the preparation and organisation of conveyancing documentation
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other relevant parties to facilitate smooth transactions
- Manage and update case files using Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook and LEAP CMS
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and deadlines efficiently to ensure timely progression of cases
- Draft correspondence and legal documents accurately in English
- Maintain detailed records of transactions and correspondence for compliance purposes
- Support the team in handling administrative tasks related to property transfers and registrations
- Ensure all communication is clear, professional, and in line with company standards
- This position is in-office only, as a result of our open-door policy with our clients and stakeholders
Experience
- Proven experience in an administrative or legal support role is essential
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook) is essential
- Good organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Knowledge of IT systems relevant to legal or conveyancing work
- Fluency in English is required to ensure effective communication with clients and colleagues
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
