Customer Care Co-ordinator – Wallsend, Tyne and Wear
c. 24.5K pa (full time equivalent). Hours: Part-time – highly flexible.
John N Dunn Group is a long-established, family-owned plumbing and heating contractor with an excellent reputation. We work in partnership with leading national housebuilders, delivering high-quality plumbing and heating installations on large new build residential developments.
To support our commitment to exceptional customer service, we are currently recruiting a Customer Care Co-ordinator to join our well established team.
This role could suit someone working a couple of full days per week or five shorter days. Hours and working pattern to be agreed to suit the right candidate.
The Role
You will be responsible for taking ownership of customer care and warranty complaints, acting as the first point of contact for customers and clients, and driving issues through to resolution in a professional and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as first point of contact for customer and client warranty queries via phone and email
- Understanding customer requirements and prioritising actions accordingly
- Logging and maintaining accurate records on the customer care database
- Allocating work to engineers and managing diaries effectively
- Responding to urgent and emergency issues in a timely and safe manner
- Taking ownership of ongoing and complex cases through to completion
- Providing regular updates to customers, clients, and management
- Building strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
Skills & Experience
- Strong customer service focus with a commitment to customer satisfaction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in a call-handling or customer service environment
- Confident using databases and Microsoft Office
- Experience with work scheduling and diary management (desirable)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Organised, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision
