Role Type: Freelance / Self-Employed Dietitian
Location: Hybrid – In-person consultations on Fridays + remote consultations online during the week
Hours: Approximately 15–25 hours per week

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate freelance dietitian to join our growing private practice, Dietitian Fit. This is a hybrid role involving:
- In-person clinic consultations on Fridays
- Online consultations during the rest of the week
- Flexible freelance hours averaging 15–25 hours weekly
You’ll work with a wide range of clients seeking evidence-based nutrition support, with a particular focus on weight management, gut health, and women’s health.
Essential Experience & Skills
Applicants must have experience supporting clients in all of the following areas:
- Weight loss and sustainable behaviour change
- IBS and gut health
- Low FODMAP dietary management (FODMAP trained essential)
- Women’s health nutrition, including PCOS
Bonus Areas of Experience
Additional expertise in any of the following would be highly advantageous:
- Kidney disease / renal nutrition
- Diabetes
- Sports nutrition
- Menopause nutrition
- Emotional eating
- Family or paediatric nutrition
Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 nutrition consultations both in-person and online
- Create personalised nutrition plans and practical recommendations
- Support clients with long-term behaviour change and accountability
- Maintain accurate and professional client notes
- Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients
- Collaborate with the Dietitian Fit team where needed
- Optional involvement in content creation and social media (if interested)
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA)
- Proven private practice or clinical consultation experience
- FODMAP training/ certification
- Strong communication and motivational interviewing skills
- Ability to work independently in a freelance setting
- Professional indemnity insurance
