Area Manager – Tops Pizza

About Us
Tops Pizza is one of the UK’s fastest-growing Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brands, with over 85 stores nationwide and ambitious plans to triple our footprint over the next three years. As we scale, we’re building a world-class operations team to help us deliver on this growth. Area Managers will be at the heart of this transformation.
The Role
We’re looking for experienced, motivated Area Managers with a background in QSR or multi-site operations. In this role, you’ll initially support performance across our entire estate — from Greater London to as far as Liverpool — before moving into a more regionally focused structure as the team expands.
This is a critical leadership role, with a clear path for progression as the business grows. Our current Head Area Manager began on the ground floor — leafletting and making pizzas — and now oversees large parts of our estate. We’re looking for others ready to join that journey and grow with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the performance of multiple Tops Pizza stores across a wide region
- Coach, mentor, and motivate Store Managers and their teams to achieve KPIs
- Ensure excellent standards in operations, food quality, and customer service
- Conduct regular store visits and audits to maintain brand standards
- Monitor performance data and implement action plans to address underperformance
- Support local marketing activity to grow sales and community presence
- Lead recruitment, training, and performance reviews in your area
- Report regularly to senior leadership on operational and financial performance
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an Area Manager or multi-site operator in QSR, hospitality, or retail
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication, organisation, and coaching ability
- Strong understanding of KPIs, budgets, and commercial performance
- Adaptable, hands-on, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel frequently across the estate, including Greater London, Midlands, and the North
- Full UK driving licence required
