Who we are.
Candy Stop is an established seaside ice cream and sweets shop, serving quality ice cream, homemade desserts, snacks and sweets in a fun and friendly environment.
The Job
The position is a part-time temporary summer one, working mainly afternoon to early evening shifts during school Summer holidays and includes weekends and bank holidays from Easter until September. Shift hours can vary between 10am and 8pm in the main Summer season and bank holidays.
The role will be assisting the owner to maximise sales for the season and will sometimes include working alongside one or two other team members during busier times.
Duties
Serving customers drinks, ice cream and sweets. Taking cash and card payments. Taking food orders, table running and clearing, stocking up as well as some washing up and cleaning.

You need to:
- Be enthusiastic with a friendly manner communicating with customers and their children.
- Be accurate taking payments and giving change as well as in taking and communicating orders for food.
- Show a willingness to learn and be able to work independently as well as in a small team, sometimes under pressure.
- Be conscious of keeping display and service areas clean and appealing.
- Have a flexible approach to working around the business needs and in being available for shifts.
- Be reliable and punctual.

Ideal candidates
Ideally you will have had some retail or catering experience or have worked in a customer facing role.
Good basic numeracy and good communication skills are essential.
Perhaps (though not essential) you have held a position of responsibility at work/school/college/ uni or club.
