We are looking for an maternity cover Afternoon Nursery Cook who will support all aspects of the nursery kitchen in conjunction with Nursery Cook at Park Lane Nursery.
Your role will be to support the existing Nursery Cook after lunchtime and then prepare the afternoon tea and snacks. We are a small, home form home nursery located on St Johns Drive.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that children's dietary and allergy requirements are adhered to.
- Supporting the Nursery Cook after lunchtime.
- Preparing and cooking the afternoon snack and tea each day.
- Supporting Nursery cook preparing foods.
- Adhering to company policies on health and safety and HACPP.
- Completing all necessary paperwork as part of your role.
- Support the Nursery Cook to maintain our five start food hygiene rating.
The job hours are 1pm - 5pm 4 days a week. (Your hours will be increased 9am-5pm, 4 weeks per year to cover the kitchen when the nursery cook is on holiday.)
The successful candidate will:
- Be imaginative, self motivated, passionate and a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have experience in preparing fresh food each day.
- Be willing to undertake food hygiene training and any other necessary training.
