We provide support and care to children, families and adults across Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove, Surrey and the London Borough of Bexley. Our services include registered care homes; supported living; community outreach; day services, including pathways to employment; children and young people’s groups and support; specialist support; and free online support for families and carers across the South-East.
About the Role:
Our Supported Living Services support adults of all ages with autism spectrum conditions and other learning disabilities or related complex support needs.
As a Support Worker in our Supported Living Homes, you will work as part of a strong and dedicated team, playing a big role in the support we give those that live there throughout their day to day lives.
We are currently recruiting for our Supported Living and Outreach services (SLOR). This includes Wings Court (Paddock Wood), Honeysuckles, Cunningham, Pelican Court-(Maidstone), Wateringbury, Wings and Bell Road- (Sittingbourne) .
We are looking for full-time flexible Senior Support Workers to assist with covering Early, Lates and weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Health & Safety Checks
Complete regular health, safety, and fire checks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Follow Support Plans
Deliver care and support based on personalised plans and risk assessments, tailored to each individual's specific needs and preferences.
Medication Administration
Administer medication as required, in line with training and support plans.
Documentation and Reporting
Accurately complete notes and reports to ensure clear communication and safeguarding for the people we support
Promote a Calming Environment
Maintain a peaceful and supportive atmosphere, respecting each individual's routines and preferences, especially in a sensory-sensitive setting.
Support with Independent Living Skills
Encourage and support individuals in practicing independent living tasks where appropriate.
1:1 Support
Provide individualised, one-to-one support when required, particularly for those with higher needs or behavioural challenges.
Team Collaboration
Work both independently and as part of a small team, communicating effectively to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
Household Tasks
Perform light domestic duties such as cleaning and organising communal areas to maintain hygiene and comfort for residents.
Community Engagement Preparation
Support individuals in preparing for and reflecting on community-based activities and experiences.
Family Interaction
Maintain a respectful and professional relationship with families and encourage positive engagement where appropriate.
Continuous Improvement
Take part in ongoing training, including autism-specific and NVQ care qualifications, to enhance knowledge and service quality.
Flexibility and Additional Duties
Be flexible with shift patterns and undertake any additional reasonable tasks related to the care and support of residents.
