Stores Person (Full Time)
Location: Ellon, Aberdeenshire
We are looking for a reliable and organised Stores Person to support the smooth running of our stores function. This hands-on role is responsible for receiving and issuing goods, maintaining accurate stock records, supporting safe material handling, and ensuring stores processes are completed in line with company procedures, quality standards, and health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Receive incoming goods, check deliveries against purchase orders, delivery notes, and relevant documentation, and report discrepancies promptly.
· Support safe offloading by directing delivery drivers, issuing required induction and pre-inspection forms, and following site procedures.
· Inspect, label, colour code, store, and quarantine raw materials as required.
· Issue raw materials, consumables, PPE, gas cylinders, lifting slings, and other stores items while maintaining accurate records.
· Complete weekly and monthly stock counts and update stores spreadsheets and logs.
· Maintain records for gas cylinders, diesel, boilersuit laundry, personal issue items, temperature checks, waste disposal, storm water inspections, SEPA usage, and COSHH assessments.
· Ensure documentation is completed, signed, scanned, filed, and passed to Accounts or relevant departments on time.
· Follow company quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
About You
· Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, manufacturing, yard, or materials handling role is preferred.
· Forklift certification and previous experience operating preferred.
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate paperwork and electronic records.
· Confident checking deliveries, identifying discrepancies, and communicating with suppliers and internal teams.
· Good organisational skills and the ability to manage routine daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks.
· Awareness of health, safety, environmental, COSHH, and hazardous material requirements.
· Comfortable using spreadsheets, shared folders, and basic computer systems.
· A proactive, dependable approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
