Job Title: Home Infusion Nurse (RN)
Mobile medical services company providing vitamin IV drips and other in-home wellness services. We are looking for experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to perform in-home IV Infusions and, most of all, professionals who love working with people! The position would be on-call with compensation per treatment. People skills and personal presentation are very important to our company culture.
We offer flexible schedules throughout the week with the ability to take calls on both weekdays and weekends. The role will begin part time but can grow into full time as the number of patient visits increases.
Duties:
- Administer IV therapy and IM injections at patients' homes, hotels, facilities, etc.
- Administer specialty treatments such as NAD, iron, stem cells, and exosomes
- Administer COVID testing at patients' homes, hotels, facilities, etc. (rare)
- Assess patient appropriateness for home infusion therapy, including safety of the home environment, availability of caregiver support, and willingness of patient and/or caregivers to become as independent as possible in therapy administration and monitoring response to therapy
- Obtain and document patient's medical history at the start of care and on an ongoing basis, particularly as related to the diagnosis being treated with the prescribed infusion therapy
- Communicate with the operations team on a constant basis for scheduling
- Communicate observations of patient response to therapy and overall physical assessment/condition with members of the care team in a timely manner, which may include the nursing supervisor, dispensing pharmacist, registered dietitian, and licensed prescriber, among others
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of infusion therapies administered in the home and ambulatory infusion setting, utilising Company policies, procedures, and protocols in addition to all available training resources to ensure understanding of each therapy before initiating treatment
- Comply with all applicable UK laws, regulations, and standards, including employee health and safety requirements under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidance, patient privacy and data protection obligations under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, as well as all applicable home and community infusion standards of practice and Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code requirements
- Complete all training required upon hire and annually per policy, including Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Serve as a professional representative of the Company when meeting with and/or providing education to external customers, payers, and referral sources
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), with current right to practice in London, UK
- Some experience working as an RN in a clinical care setting that contributes to proficiency in infusion therapy (such as a emergency department, intensive care unit, labour & delivery, or similar setting)
- Proficient with electronic medical record documentation
- Willing to work independently in an at-home setting
- Willing to work "on call" for at least 2 to 3 days per week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Pay: £55.00-£175.00 per hour
