Job Summary
This vacancy is for Monday to Friday nights. You will be manning a Unit jointly with a day operative and will be required to liase with him at start and end of shift. Further details on application.We are seeking a motivated and experienced LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) Class 1 driver to join our team for local container work during night shifts. Responsibilities
- Safely operate LGV Class 1 vehicles to transport containers to designated local sites during night hours
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload containers with precision, adhering to proper handling procedures and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each shift, ensuring all records are complete and up-to-date
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and health & safety guidelines at all times during operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
- Ensure the secure handling of containers, including those requiring special attention such as fragile loads
Qualifications
- Valid LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) Class 1 license with a clean driving record . New drivers considered as training will be provided for the successful applicant
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with delivery or container work
- Knowledge of local roads, traffic regulations, and safe driving practices
- Strong understanding of driver safety procedures and compliance

Pay: £180.00-£200.00 per day
