Cavendish Ships Stores Ltd are the leading supplier to the cruise ship industry in the UK, are looking for a finance assistant to join our friendly, hardworking team.
Day to Day Duties:
Purchase Ledger:
· Being first point of contact for all relevant enquiries re the purchase ledger
· Matching, coding & posting of invoices
· Setting up new supplier accounts
· Reconciliation of supplier statements
· General tasks – Filing invoices, preparation of weekly payment runs
Sales Ledger:
· Checking that signed paperwork is received back into the office, chasing signed paperwork that is missing & filing paperwork
· Sending signed delivery notes to the customer that require it.
· Send statements to those customers that require them
Other requirements:
· Excise paperwork to be completed for HMRC (full training will be given on this).
· To help with any external audits we may have (via guidance from the financial controller)
· To help prepare reports for our monthly accounts on the last day of the month & Rebate paperwork compiled & sent to suppliers on the first day of the month (again full training will be given).
· Support the financial controller is any other tasks that may crop up.
