Senior Installation Engineer – Security Systems
Salary: Circa £45,000 + Company Van, Tools, Laptop & Phone
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

The Role
A respected and expanding fire and security company is seeking a Senior Installation Engineer to join its experienced team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled, hands-on engineer with strong technical knowledge and a passion for delivering high-quality work.
You’ll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and support of a variety of electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms. The role involves working across a range of commercial and industrial sites, ensuring all projects are completed to a professional standard and in full compliance with current industry regulations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Install, configure, and commission security systems including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
- Carry out first and second fix, programming, testing, and handover in line with project documentation.
- Provide on-site technical support and guidance to clients.
- Ensure all work meets company standards, health and safety policies, and relevant British Standards.
- Produce accurate installation reports, test certificates, and associated documentation.
- Collaborate with project and engineering teams to ensure smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.
About You
You’ll be an experienced engineer with a solid understanding of electronic security systems and a proactive, professional approach. You’re comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team, with great communication and customer service skills.
- Proven experience installing and commissioning CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems.
- Experience with enterprise-level systems such as LenelS2, Gallagher, or C-Cure is a distinct advantage.
- Strong understanding of IP-based systems and networking.
- Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities.
- Industry qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC, 18th Edition) desirable but not essential.
Additional Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willing to travel and stay away from home occasionally when required.
- Subject to BS7858 vetting and an enhanced DBS check.
