Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations. Duties
- Operate a flatbed lorry in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Deliver goods to designated locations in a timely and professional manner
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and route sheets
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure safety standards are maintained
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE and safe driving practices
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with delivery routes
- Experience with flatbed vehicles is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving
- Ability to operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and vehicle checks
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
