We are growing and looking for a passionate tutor/assessor to deliver our Cyber Security apprenticeship programmes,
What You'll Do:
Deliver engaging and effective training sessions through online, face-to-face, and blended learning methods Teach cyber security concepts aligned to the relevant apprenticeship standards, including:
- Cyber Security Technologist
- Cyber Security Technical Professional
- Information Communications Technician (Cyber Pathway)
- Other digital and cyber standards as appropriate.
- Develop apprentices' understanding of:
- Cyber security principles
- Threats, vulnerabilities, and risk management
- Security operations and monitoring
- Network, infrastructure and platform security
- Incident detection and response
- Governance, risk, and compliance
- Data protection and information security
- Vulnerability Management and penetration testing fundamentals
- Secure system administration
- Application Security (i.e., software development security)
- Endpoint Security
- Identity and Access Management
- Cloud Security foundation
- AI Security foundation
- WiFi Security Fundamentals
- Cryptography and Key Management Fundamentals
Plan and deliver learning that meets individual learner needs and starting points.
Conduct regular progress reviews and provide constructive developmental feedback.
Monitor learner engagement, attendance, progress, and achievement.
Maintain accurate records within the organisation's learner management systems.
Support apprentices in compiling evidence portfolios and preparing for EPA.
What You'll Bring:
- Level 4 or above qualification in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, Networking, or a related discipline.
- Recognised teaching or training qualification (e.g. Level 3 Award in Education and Training, Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training, PGCE, Cert Ed) or willingness to achieve within an agreed timeframe.
- GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
- Industry experience within cyber security, information security, network security, security operations, or related technical disciplines.
- Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and End-Point Assessment requirements
- Experience delivering training, mentoring, coaching, or workplace learning.
- Experience supporting learners to achieve qualifications or apprenticeship standards.
- Experience using virtual learning environments and digital learning technologies.
Essential Knowledge:
- Cyber security frameworks and best practices.
- Current cyber threat landscape and emerging tools and technologies.
- Sound understanding of key cyber security domains
- Information security governance and risk management.
- UK GDPR and data protection principles.
- Safeguarding, Prevent Duty, Equality Act, and British Values.
- Effective teaching, coaching, and assessment practices.
Desirable:
- Assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA, A1, D32/D33, or equivalent).
- Internal Quality Assurance qualification (IQA/V1).
- Professional cyber security certifications such as:
- ISC2 CISSP
- CompTIA Security+
- EC-Council CEH
- ISACA CISM
- ISACA CRISC
- ISACA CISA
- Cisco CyberOps Associate
- AWS, Azure, GCP or similar security certifications
- Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £36,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
