Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled 2nd fix carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for completing the final stages of carpentry work on residential, commercial, or industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that structures are finished to high standards, with attention to detail and precision. Duties
- Install doors, windows, skirting boards, architraves, and other finishing carpentry elements with accuracy and care
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to cut, shape, and assemble materials
- Conduct minor repairs and touch-ups on existing structures to ensure quality finishes
- Collaborate closely with site managers, electricians, plumbers, and masons to coordinate work seamlessly
Requirements
- Proven experience as a 2nd fix carpenter or similar role within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, joinery, fabrication, and assembly techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers
- Skilled in operating power tools including drills, sanders, and nail guns
- Experience with roofing installation and maintenance is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a construction environment
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical work, masonry or construction painting is a plus
- Valid certifications in carpentry or relevant trade qualifications preferred (CSCS
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality finishes
- Strong teamwork ethic with good communication skills
