Purpose of the role: To bring structure and consistent energy to training at Bakers and lift the Academy to a new level that gives our employees strong skills and opportunities for progression.
Training System Development
· Build and organise structured training programmes for all operational roles.
· Work with technical specialists and department heads to capture best practices and standard operating methods.
· Convert operational knowledge into clear, structured, easy-to-follow training content.
· Create onboarding pathways for new starters across different departments.
· Collate existing and develop new training documentation, guides, visual aids, SOPs, and learning materials.
· Ensure training content remains accurate, consistent, and up to date.
· Create consistent standards for how employees are trained across the business.
New Starter Training & Onboarding
· Support the onboarding experience for all new staff along with their supervisor/manager.
· Deliver training on company structure, departments, processes, systems, and standards.
· Help employees understand how the wider business operates, not just their own role.
· Monitor trainee progress and confidence throughout onboarding.
· Identify employees needing additional support and adapt training where required.
Training Coordination
· Coordinate training schedules, plans, and refresher sessions.
· Track training completion and employee competency levels.
· Assist supervisors/managers with maintaining training records and skills matrices.
· Work alongside supervisors to support consistent coaching and development.
· Support rollout training for new systems, processes, or operational changes.
Ideal Candidate
· The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive and confident working with people across all levels and areas of the business.
· Print & Packaging knowledge not necessary as technical knowledge already exists in the business.

This role is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks. Due to the nature of the role, including working with apprentices, young people and work experience students, safeguarding considerations will form part of the recruitment process.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
- Promote the safety and wellbeing of apprentices, work experience students and young people.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times.
- Comply with the Company's Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct.
- Report any safeguarding concerns promptly in accordance with Company procedures.
Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
