Fostering Team Manager
Location: Langley, Slough (London & South Region)
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Flexible working required)
Essential Requirements
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Diploma in Social Work (or equivalent).
- Registration: Active registration with Social Work England (SWE).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of managerial/supervisory experience in child care, ideally within an Independent Fostering Agency (IFA) or local authority fostering team.
- Licence & Transport: Full, clean UK driving licence with regular access to a car.
About the Role
Sunbeam Fostering Agency is seeking an experienced Fostering Team Manager to lead and develop our social work team across the London & South region.
You will manage allocations, uphold high practice standards, support Supervising Social Workers, and ensure excellent service delivery and positive outcomes for looked-after children.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct line management, supervision, and guidance to Supervising Social Workers.
- Monitor performance, quality assure casework, and drive service excellence aligned with Ofsted standards.
- Manage caseload allocations across the regional fostering team.
- Support safeguarding initiatives and champion child-centred practice.
