Support Worker - Mental health (Surrey)
£15.20 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Your care will enable them to live safely, confidently and with dignity in their own home.
This is a meaningful 2:1 role where you can genuinely see the impact of the support you provide.
About the Client
Supporting a 26-year-old female, well known to the eating disorder service with a primary diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa with dangerously low body, weight, restricting pattern. Service user also has a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

Not aggressive, either physically or verbally
Elected to remain mute
Communisation by laptop
No more than 30 minutes’ walk a day
Loves baking for the community
Very Creative.
Clinical Requirements
You will support the client with the specific clinical tasks outlined in their care plan. These may include:
- Must have experience looking after service users with eating disorders
- Meal planning with gradually increasing feed to achieve weight restoration.
- Regular blood tests to monitor for refeeding risk.
- ECG and physical observations (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) to monitor physical state.
- Medication titration - recently increased Aripiprazole (antipsychotic).
- Bedrest and support with hygiene and personal care.
- Management and dietetic support of invasive feed.
- Psychological support.
- Peg feeding experience
Full specialist training and competency sign-off are provided by our Clinical Team, so you do not need to have every skill listed to apply.
Shifts Available
We offer consistent and predictable shifts to support your work–life balance and financial stability.
- Weekend day shifts
- Weekend night shifts
- 12-hour shift or shorter calls
- Driver requirements if applicable
- Regular pattern (e.g., every Saturday and Sunday)
What the Role Involves
Delivering compassionate 2:1 support- Supporting with community access and social activities
- Promoting independence and dignity in all tasks
- Providing emotional reassurance and wellbeing support
- Communicating effectively with the clinical, care and coordination teams
Your presence will help the client feel safe, supported and in control of their daily routine.

Experience supporting people with Anorexia and Autistic needs- Confidence with clinical tasks (or a willingness to train)
- Strong communication and reliability
- Empathy, emotional intelligence, and person-centred values
- Ability to work independently and professionally
