Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hard-working Property Maintenance & Clearance Operative to join our team. This hands-on role involves carrying out internal and external property clearances, basic maintenance, garden clearances, fly-tip removals, cleaning, and basic void works to prepare properties for re-letting. The work is primarily on residential sites, with some commercial sites, across East London and Essex.
Responsibilities
- Conduct full internal clearances, including the removal of household items, debris, and waste from inside properties and communal areas.
- Delivery and collection of white goods.
- Perform external clearances, such as garden waste removal, fly-tip collection, and disposal of general rubbish from outdoor areas.
- Carry out basic grounds maintenance tasks, including grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming and weeding.
- Remove waste safely and transport it to the yard using a company vehicle.
- Ensure properties and grounds are left clean, tidy, and secure after completion of works, ready for re-letting.
- Follow all health and safety procedures while on site.
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Previous experience in property clearance, waste removal, or grounds maintenance (preferred but not essential)
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy items safely
- Comfortable working in varied environments, including challenging or heavily cluttered properties
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team and manage your own workload
- Commitment to following all health and safety procedures and company policies.
**Salary dependent on experience
** Mon-Fri 08:00 - 16:30
Pay: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
