We are seeking a permanent Headteacher’s PA.
The Headteacher's PA plays a vital role in supporting the strategic and day-to-day leadership of the school. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and professional individual to provide confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Headteacher whilst helping to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the school.

Important Details:
- Contract: Permanent, term-time plus one week
- Salary: Grade 6, Scale Points £33,143 - £36,363 pro rata (actual £28,524.60 - £31,964.42)
- Working Pattern: Monday – Friday
- Working Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm, lunch break 30 minutes
- Start Date: ASAP
- Pension: Greater Manchester Pension Fund with employer contributions of 15.3%

Duties of the Headteacher’s PA:
In this role you will:
- Act as the first point of contact for the Headteacher, welcoming visitors and responding to enquiries from staff, parents, governors and external stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate the Headteacher's diary, meetings and administrative priorities.
- Draft, proofread and quality assure correspondence and documentation to a high professional standard.
- Handle highly confidential information and correspondence with discretion and integrity.
- Coordinate and monitor the parental complaints process in accordance with school policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and maintain the schedule for reviewing and updating school policies.
- Prepare information, reports and documentation for meetings and events.
- Maintain accurate records and administrative systems.
- Provide administrative support to the wider Senior Leadership Team when required.
- Support the effective communication of the school's vision, values and priorities.
The Headteacher’s PA should:
- Have experience carrying out administrative and secretarial duties.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be highly organised with outstanding attention to detail.
- Have the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Produce accurate minutes, reports and professional documentation.
- Be confident using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrate the highest standards of discretion, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Work proactively, using initiative and sound judgement.
- Support the ethos and values of The Barlow RC High School.
- To assist with pupil first aid and welfare duties (training provided).
Advantages but not essential:
- Experience working within a school or educational setting.
- Experience working with children and young people.
- Knowledge of school governance, complaints procedures or policy management.
