Overview of the Role
The management accountant plays a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting, analysis and commercial insight that supports business decision-making. Working across finance and the wider business, you'll help improve how financial and operational data is used to drive performance, providing valuable insight into project profitability, margins, utilisation and budgets. You'll also contribute to the implementation and ongoing development of an ERP system (Odoo) and reporting capabilities while maintaining strong financial control and supporting continuous improvement across the Finance function

Essential Requirements
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, management accounting and financial controls.
- Relevant experience in a management accountant, finance analyst, commercial finance or similar role.
- Experience preparing or supporting monthly management accounts and month-end processes.
- Strong financial analysis and management reporting experience.
- Experience using integrated ERP systems such as Odoo, SAP or Oracle, and/or integrated CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Experience of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Part-qualified or fully qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent.
Desirable requirements
- Experience working within a consultancy, professional services or other project-based business environment.
- Experience of project/client profitability, utilisation or recovery-rate reporting.
- Experience of multi-entity or multi-currency environments.
- Experience of BI or data visualisation tools.
