Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating systems in residential homes and the odd commercial setting. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Heating Engineer will ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Customer service, taking care within the customers home and time keeping will be paramount.
PAYE ROLE AND SELF EMPLOYED AVAILABLE
SELF EMPLOYED £400 A DAY AS AND WHEN REQUIRED SUBJECT TO CIS
General areas we cover West/ South west London and surrounding areas.
Bonus scheme and commission offered on Sales
Probationary period of 3 months.
Van provided + Fuel Card
Responsibilities
- Emergency plumbing , burst pipes, loss of heating, leaks and boiler breakdowns
- Install and maintain heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating, air conditioning training will be provided aswell as Fgas qualification upon passed probation
- Conduct regular inspections and servicing of heating equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Boiler installations, remedial works, repairs , servicing, landlord certificates
- Air conditioning installations , repairs , servicing ** Training provided.
- General plumbing maintenance repairing taps, toilets sinks bath installations.
- Diagnose faults in heating systems and implement effective solutions.
- Assemble components and repairs as necessary.
- Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete tasks. ( Engineer to use own tools and power tools)
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used via app which we will set up and explain for you.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, and regular office updates
- Complete invoicing and quotes where required.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times while on site.
Requirements
- NVQ 2 / NVQ 3 PREFFERED
- Proven experience as a Heating Engineer / plumber / gas safe engineer or in a similar role.
- Gas safe or F Gas registered prefferable if not training will be provided
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment.
- Basic maths skills for calculations related to installations and repairs.
- A clean valid driving licence is required for travel between job sites.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely as part of daily responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in heating engineering or related fields are advantageous but not essential.
- Punctual and clean appearance aswell as trustworthy and respectfull in customer care and within clients properties.
