We are an independent community pharmacy looking for a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to join our small, friendly team.
The position is for part time hours of 9-5.30pm on Thursday and Friday but would need to be available to work extra shifts to cover annual leave and sickness. You will help us provide safe, efficient dispensing and a genuinely welcoming service to our local patients. The role involves receiving and processing prescriptions, preparing and labelling medicines under the supervision of the pharmacist, serving patients at the counter and on the phone, and using the PMR system to keep accurate records. You will also help with stock control (checking deliveries, rotating and checking expiry dates, keeping the dispensary tidy) and support the smooth running of pharmacy services such as repeat prescriptions and health services. We are looking for someone who enjoys talking to people, is comfortable in a busy environment, and can balance good customer care with attention to detail and patient safety. Previous pharmacy experience or a dispensing/pharmacy services qualification is helpful, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Pay: £12.73-£13.00 per hour
