About the role:
Looking to start a career in Technical and Quality Assurance? This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced Technical team while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
As a Technical Apprentice, you'll support the Technical team with maintaining high standards of food safety, quality and compliance across the business. You'll gain hands-on experience in areas including Quality Management Systems (QMS), hygiene management systems, supplier performance, technical reporting and continuous improvement activities.
Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll develop the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career within Technical, Quality and Compliance roles.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the Technical team with technical reports, KPI reporting and trend analysis
- Monitoring supplier performance and assisting with supplier approval activities
- Maintaining technical systems, records and documentation
- Supporting the Quality Management System (QMS) and hygiene management systems
- Assisting with QA activities including factory inspections, GMP audits, hygiene verification and process monitoring
- Learning about food safety legislation, customer requirements and third-party certification standards
- Supporting internal audits and corrective action follow-up
- Developing an understanding of HACCP principles, food safety culture and process controls
- Assisting with customer specifications and technical documentation
- Supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
- Working with different departments to help maintain product quality and compliance
- Attending apprenticeship training and applying learning within the workplace
About you:

Previous technical or food manufacturing experience isn't required — just a positive attitude, enthusiasm to learn and a genuine interest in food safety, quality and compliance.
Desirable experience (but not essential):
- An understanding of document control or Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Experience using web-based systems or databases
- An ability to analyse and interpret data
Due to our location, applicants must hold a valid driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
