About the Role
We're looking for a Health & Safety Manager to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our health and safety arrangements. You'll be the driving force behind our safety culture, providing expert advice to managers and employees, evaluating compliance across the business, and ensuring corrective actions from incidents, audits and inspections are seen through to completion.
This is a hybrid role involving attendance at UK wide event locations and office locations in Northampton, Coventry and North Yorkshire.
What You'll Do
- Own and continuously improve Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments and H&S documentation
- Lead investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring findings are recorded, reported and corrective actions followed through
- Identify training needs and drive delivery of H&S training, briefings and awareness initiatives
- Carry out site-based H&S audits and lead implementation of agreed improvements
- Produce H&S management information, incident trends, audit findings, compliance metrics, with recommendations for senior leadership
- Maintain statutory H&S records and coordinate accreditations (e.g. CHAS)
- Champion a positive, proactive safety culture across all levels of the business
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in a similar health & safety role
- Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation, regulations, codes of practice and industry standards
- Experience developing and implementing H&S policies, procedures and safe systems of work
- Track record of running audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to embed a positive safety culture
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent); IOSH membership desirable
- Full UK Driving Licence

Pay: £34,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
