Job Title: Powder Coating Operator
Location: Gloucester
Pay Rate: £ 16 per hour
Working hours: Monday – Thursday 6:30am-4:30pm, Friday 6:30am-3:30pm
Contract: Temporary to permanent
Gap personnel in Gloucester are looking for a reliable and hardworking Powder Coating Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal products to the required quality standards while adhering to health and safety procedures. Potentional contract with a company after 12 weeks period.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare metal components for powder coating, including cleaning, masking, and hanging parts.
- Operate powder coating equipment and spray guns safely and efficiently.
- Apply powder coatings to achieve required finish and thickness specifications.
- Monitor coating quality and identify any defects or inconsistencies.
- Carry out quality inspections of finished products.
- Maintain equipment and ensure work areas are kept clean and organised.
- Follow production schedules and meet daily targets.
- Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in powder coating, paint spraying, or a similar manufacturing environment is required
- Minimum 1 year on the job experiance
- Ability to work accurately and pay attention to detail.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
- Reliable with a positive and proactive attitude.
