Overview
As a Recycling waste sorter in a skip yard you will be responsible for efficiently sorting materials to ensure they are properly processed and diverted from landfills. Your keen eye for detail, physical stamina, and mechanical knowledge will help keep our recycling operations running smoothly. Responsibilities
- Carefully sort materials such as plastics, metals, cardboard, and wood according to established guidelines
- Perform heavy lifting of materials safely and efficiently throughout the day
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to ensure safety and operational efficiency
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with machinery used in recycling facilities is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and with proper technique
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in sorting tasks
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during shifts
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with a team-oriented attitude
This is a Monday to Friday position from 8am till 4pm with a 30 min unpaid lunch break, you will be paid weekly and it is a Temp to perm postion
Pay: £105.00 per day
