Duties
- Assist clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming and mobility.
- Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and company policies.
- Prepare nutritious meals based on individual dietary requirements.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote wellbeing.
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry and maintaining a safe home environment.
- Accompany or drive clients to appointments, shopping or social activities where required.
- Support individuals living with dementia, Alzheimer's, physical disabilities or other health conditions.
- Observe and report any changes in clients' health or wellbeing to the appropriate professionals.
- Complete accurate care records and follow all safeguarding procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in domiciliary care, home care, assisted living or a nursing home is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of dementia care, elderly care, palliative care or complex care is desirable.
- A caring, reliable and compassionate approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings and weekends.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential.
- Right to work in the UK.
- First Aid training is desirable (or willingness to undertake training).
