MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our professional automotive team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to a high standard. If you are already a qualified MOT Tester, you'll also conduct MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations.
For the right candidate who is not currently MOT qualified, full MOT Tester training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a reputable and growing garage.
Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of makes and models.
- Diagnose vehicle faults using specialist diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA requirements (if qualified).
- Use hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Complete all work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Carry out vehicle inspections, including brakes, tyres, suspension and emissions checks.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and servicing.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices.
- Work as part of a professional team to deliver excellent customer service.
Skills & Experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
- Experience servicing and repairing cars.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools confidently.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- A Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent experience) is desirable.
- MOT Tester qualification is an advantage but not essential. Full MOT Tester training will be provided to the right candidate.

Pay: £30,000.00-£36,500.00 per year
