We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to lead our Forklift Truck and Yard Operations team at a busy manufacturing site in Hull.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong FLT experience and leadership skills to step into a key operational role.
The Role
Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Forklift Truck Operators and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials across our manufacturing operation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting the FLT and Yard team on a day-to-day basis
- Ensuring production lines are supplied with materials in a timely manner
- Coordinating the movement of stock, finished goods and materials across site
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation
- Monitoring team performance and attendance
- Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety procedures
- Conducting daily checks and ensuring FLT equipment is operated safely
- Working closely with Production and Management teams to support operational requirements
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Valid B1, B2 and C1 Forklift Truck licences
- Previous experience operating FLTs within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment
- Experience leading, supervising or coordinating teams
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety
- Good communication and organisational skills
- The ability to prioritise workloads and respond to changing operational demands
- A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to lead by example
