We are currently looking for a Category Assistant (Category Product Assistant) to join our Product and Purchasing Team. This role would suit an individual with a natural desire to build their experience within category management and purchasing, and who enjoys working with data, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver excellent product information to customers.
What you'll do:
- Maintain pricing and cost data accurately to support margin performance.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams on category activity, timelines and issues.
- Support supplier database upkeep, tenders and supplier reviews (packs, minutes and actions).
- Work with Product Data, Digital and Catalogue teams to ensure accurate, high-quality product content.
- Build category knowledge and support queries, quality issues and product training as needed.
What you’ll bring:
- Purchasing or commercial admin experience (desirable).
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication with confidence working across teams.
- Proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail.
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills (essential).
