Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Materials and Production Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will support the efficient flow of materials and production processes within our facility. Your energetic approach will help ensure that materials are handled safely, accurately, and promptly, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading vehicles.
- Checking in goods received and storing in allocated areas.
- Rejecting materials that are incorrect or damaged
- Adding goods on to E2 System and allocating to jobs
- Transporting goods around workshop
- Picking and packing items for dispatch
- Completing Quality Check Sheets for goods being dispatched
- Collecting and adding Quality Check Sheets to ISO folders
- Cycle counting and Stock Checking
- Full Stock Take bi-annually
- Stock adjustments where required
- Building jobs in specialist software and generating/distributing job travelers
- Generating profile sheets/checking profile sheets generated by others
- Keeping stores clean, tidy and orderly
- Ensure all entrances and exits are clear of obstructions and slip hazards, such as leaves.
- Adhering to Health & Safety arrangements
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience or exposure to materials handling is highly preferred
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely is essential
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and safety protocols
