As Wedding & Events Co-ordinator at Solton Manor, you will work as a team delivering exceptional weddings, private events, corporate bookings, and overnight stays across the Manor House and Dovecote.
This is a new, hybrid role combining sales, planning, and on-the-day delivery. You will manage events from first enquiry through to execution, ensuring a seamless guest experience, strong commercial performance, and consistently high standards that protect the long-term reputation of the estate.
Key Responsibilities
Event Coordination & Delivery
You will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination and delivery of weddings, events, and stays, including:
- Managing the full planning journey from booking through to event delivery
- Working closely with couples, clients, internal teams, and suppliers to understand briefs, plan logistics, and coordinate all elements
- Preparing and issuing detailed timelines, event schedules, and function sheets
- Liaising with external suppliers (including catering, floristry, music, photography, and production) to ensure compliance with venue policies and operational requirements
- Ensuring all spaces are set up accurately and thoughtfully in line with the agreed brief, with all items ordered, delivered, and positioned correctly
- Attending planning meetings, food and wine tastings, and key pre-event appointments, or arranging suitable cover where required
- Maintaining a strong on-site presence during weddings, events, and tastings, acting as the primary client-facing contact on the day
- Ensuring timelines are adhered to and events run smoothly, with calm, professional troubleshooting as required
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and presentation across all areas, front-of-house and behind the scenes
- Ensuring health & safety, food hygiene, cash handling, and end-of-day procedures are followed at all times
- Opening and closing the venue as required and ensuring staff presentation meets Solton Manor standards
Sales & Client Management
Working closely with the Head of Marketing and wider team, you will support conversion and revenue growth through a highly personal client journey:
- Managing and responding to enquiries for weddings, private events, corporate bookings, and overnight stays across all channels
- Conducting confident, welcoming venue show-arounds (including evenings where required)
- Preparing accurate quotations and contracts and following up enquiries to maximise conversion
- Maintaining clear, timely communication throughout the decision-making process
- Accurately recording all enquiries, communications, and bookings within Sonas CRM
- Proactively managing follow-ups to ensure no enquiries are missed
- Supporting open days and marketing activity, including sharing insight into enquiry trends and client feedback
- Capturing appropriate content to support social media and marketing where suitable
Operational & Team Support
Working alongside the Operations and Office Manager, you will contribute to the smooth running of the estate by:
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Supporting cost-effective staffing through well-planned rostering in collaboration with the Operations and Office Manager
- Building strong working relationships with trusted suppliers and partners
- Supporting training and development of team members where required
- Contributing ideas to improve systems, workflows, and service standards
- Ensuring consistently high levels of service across all events and guest touchpoints
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 12 months’ experience coordinating weddings or events within a venue or hospitality setting
- Strong sales and client relationship skills, with confidence converting enquiries into bookings
- Excellent organisation, communication, and multitasking abilities
- Calm, professional, and personable manner
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including regular weekends during peak season
- Proactive, collaborative team player with a strong sense of ownership

Pay: £21,157.50-£24,784.50 per year
