The Opportunity
As a Trainee Treasury Analyst, you will undertake daily treasury activities with a specific focus on liquidity management and reporting, FX hedging, and excess cash investment to ensure the Group’s cash resources are managed efficiently and in line with policy.
We are open to considering candidates who have recently graduated with a finance-related degree and are looking to start their career in treasury or finance, as well as individuals who already have some relevant experience and are looking to further develop their skills in a treasury environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cash & Liquidity Management - Monitor daily cash positions, support cash flow forecasting, ensure sufficient liquidity across entities, and optimise cash utilisation.

Exposure Management - Identify FX exposures, support the execution of hedging strategies, and maintain accurate exposure reporting.

Cash Flow - Review cash-flow actuals and assist with cash-flow forecasting.

Hedge Accounting - Assist with data preparation, valuation inputs, and reconciliation activities required for monthly hedge accounting processes.
- Balance Sheet Management - Reconcile group bank accounts including foreign currency accounts ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.

Cash Transfer Process Management - Manage intercompany and external cash transfers, ensuring adherence to treasury controls and banking cut‑offs.

Client Refund Processing – Manage and Administer client refunds, ensuring correct approvals, documentation, and timely payment execution.

Support Treasury Projects - assist with continuous improvement initiatives, system enhancements and policy updates.

Treasury Analyst Cover - Provide operational cover during leave or absence.

Undertake ad‑hoc duties as required to support the wider Treasury function.

That’s why we offer hybrid working, with the opportunity to split your time between our Witney office based in Oxfordshire and working remotely from anywhere in the UK. We ask that employees are office-based for a minimum of 3 days per week.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Ideally, you will be working towards an AAT qualification or be interested in starting a professional finance qualification to support your career development. You will be willing to study towards and complete relevant professional finance or treasury examinations to further develop your expertise. You will contribute strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring accuracy in financial data and reporting.
Additional experience required:
- FX trading experience along with multicurrency cash-flows.

Ability to work autonomously and be part of the broader team.

Excellent time management and organisational ability.

High level of attention to detail.

Team player with the ability to communicate and coordinate with multiple parties.

Good understanding of Office 365 including MS Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook.

Some experience of finance systems (Ideally Microsoft D365)
