ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Care Assistant at Seaview Haven you will support our residents to live as comfortably and independently as possible, treating each person with dignity and respect. Day to day you will:
- Help residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, mobility and mealtimes
- Support residents' wellbeing, taking time to talk, listen and get involved in activities
- Keep accurate care records using our electronic care system (CareDocs)
- Work alongside Team Leaders, nurses, the kitchen and housekeeping teams to keep the home running smoothly
- Follow care plans, safeguarding procedures and health and safety guidance at all times
- Communicate warmly with residents' families and visiting professionals
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- A genuine desire to care for older people, with patience, kindness and a positive attitude
- Previous care experience is welcome but not essential – full training is provided
- Good spoken and written English and the ability to keep clear records
- Reliability and willingness to work as part of a team on a shift rota
- Flexibility to work days, nights and alternate weekends
- The right to work in the UK (please note: we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role)
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check

Barnstaple, the main town of North Devon, is around 25 minutes away by car or bus, with rail links to Exeter and onward to London.
