The role
Are you an experienced and proactive maintenance professional looking to take the next step into a leadership role? We’re looking for a Direct Services Commercial Lead Technician to join our Reactive Repairs team, playing a key role in delivering high-quality maintenance services across our commercial and hostel sites.
Reporting to a Head of Service or Operations Manager, you’ll lead a dedicated team of Technicians, managing workloads and ensuring a responsive, efficient, and customer-focused service. You’ll be responsible for driving performance against key KPIs, promoting a ‘first time fix’ approach, and ensuring all works are completed to a high standard, on time, and in line with contractual requirements.
This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your technical expertise with people management, ensuring your team operates safely, productively, and delivers excellent customer satisfaction through clear, consistent communication. As part of our Direct Services team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our residents and colleagues by providing a service that is reliable, value for money, and aligned with our high standards.
For this role you must hold a full clean UK driving license
What you'll have
Ideally, you’ll have worked for a Housing Association, House Builder, Local Authority or Construction contractor in a similar role as a Site Supervisor, Site Manager or Foreperson.
Excellent leadership skills to create a culture adopting our values, to inspire, motivate and develop staff at all levels; building cohesive and motivated teams who are committed to our vision and goals.
You’ll have a blended management style, supporting our operatives & residents, promoting self-awareness and a genuine commitment to improve services.
You’ll be able to make sound judgements, find solutions to complex issues and problems, and identify and manage risk.
The role will work with a range of residents and colleagues, so a positive approach to collaborative team working is essential.
A full UK Driving licence is essential for this role.
