Duties
- Plan, organise, and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in the nursery setting.
- Provide high-quality childcare, ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of all children under your care.
- Support children's social, emotional, and educational development through personalised interaction and guidance.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and daily activities in accordance with nursery policies.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Assist in organising outings or trips that promote learning outside the nursery environment.
- Uphold all health and safety regulations, including safeguarding procedures, to ensure a secure environment for children.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting.
- Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily routines and support junior staff members.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with colleagues and families.
- Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent).
- Valid driving licence is desirable for organising outings or community activities.
- Ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and professionalism.
- Passionate about early years development with a nurturing approach to children's individual needs.

Pay: £25,420.00-£37,300.85 per year
