- Increase to £30,385 upon completion of the fully funded Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare

The Role
As a Therapeutic Care Worker, you'll support children within a warm, family-style home, providing consistent care, guidance and positive role modelling.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality therapeutic care and emotional support
- Supporting morning and evening routines
- Helping children attend school, appointments, family time and activities
- Planning fun, educational and community-based activities
- Supporting children with homework, routines and independence skills
- Building trusting relationships through therapeutic practice
- Completing daily records, reports and care documentation
- Working closely with Social Workers, education professionals and families
- Promoting safeguarding and the welfare of children at all times
- Supporting children's physical, emotional and mental wellbeing
- Maintaining a safe, welcoming and nurturing home environment
Therapeutic Approach
The home operates using a Therapeutic Community model with PACE principles at the heart of practice.
Full training is provided, enabling you to understand children's experiences, build trusting relationships and respond positively to behaviours linked to trauma.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for people who genuinely want to make a difference.
You'll ideally have:
- A caring, patient and resilient approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- Good organisational and basic IT skills
- A willingness to learn and develop professionally
- A reflective approach to practice
- A full manual UK driving licence
- Flexibility to work the rota, including evenings and weekends
Previous experience working with children or young people is welcomed but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Essential Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Full manual UK driving licence
- Ability to work a 39-hour rota including evenings and weekends
- Commitment to achieving the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within two years (company funded if required)
