Overview
The Chineham Medical Practice is looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to further expand our nursing team which currently consists of three Practice Nurses and two Healthcare Assistants.
You will ideally have experience of working autonomously within a primary care setting and have a real passion for providing an excellent standard of patient care and health promotion.
A Practice Nursing qualification is beneficial, although someone working towards such qualifications maybe considered.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, supporting the medical staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.
Duties
- Wound care
- Smears
- Adult & child immunisations
- Travel appointments
- Chronic disease management
- Treatment room
- Phlebotomy
Skills
- Relevant qualification – ideally Level 6 Diploma or equivalent.
- Qualifications and experience in chronic disease management, including one or more of Diabetes, COPD, Asthma.
- Wound care
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience using clinical systems, preferably EMIS.
- Empathy and compassion towards patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Knowledge of current healthcare practices, policies, and regulations.
Experience:
- Nursing: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- NMC Accreditation (required)
