Are you passionate about your trade/industry and looking to do something different?
Milton Keynes College are looking for a part time Workplace Trainer with expert Property Maintenance Skills. You will work in collaboration with the Construction delivery team to develop and deliver current programmes including Property Maintenance Operative – the apprenticeship standards dictate that you must be qualified to at least Level 2 or above yourself and have relevant industrial technical competence/experience.
As a Workplace Trainer, your role will be dynamic, varied and highly rewarding - working with employers, apprentices and the college curriculum teams. You will be teaching for 2 days a week in our Chaffron Way campus and have a further ½ day for planning and marking on another day. For candidates seeking full-time hours, there may be an opportunity to combine this role with our part-time Technician (Construction) position, subject to skills and experience.
Workplace trainers are assigned a caseload of apprentices to train and assess throughout the evolution of their apprenticeship. Our apprentices’ journey runs all year round, therefore you are able to take your annual leave at any time of the year.
We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled individuals to motivate and inspire learners to develop their skills and enable progression into their chosen careers. No previous teaching experience? Don’t let this put you off… If you are a passionate person with the capacity to become a great teacher we can provide the training to help you achieve your full potential, just as we expect you to be able to help our students achieve theirs.
