Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Factory Manager to oversee daily operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, optimise processes, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. The Factory Manager will be instrumental in coordinating across departments, managing resources effectively, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all factory operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and logistics.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise manufacturing processes through process improvement methodologies.
- Oversee supply chain activities to ensure timely procurement of materials and delivery of finished goods.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, reducing waste, and enhancing product quality.
- Maintain strict adherence to health and safety standards across the facility.
- Manage budgets, allocate resources effectively, and oversee staffing requirements to meet operational goals.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on mechanical issues and process optimisation projects.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, quality metrics, and operational costs.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and innovation within the factory environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing management or a similar leadership role within a factory setting.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced enviroment
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of assembly processes and equipment maintenance.
- Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and continuous improvement practices.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to motivate teams and liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, manufacturing management or related fields are preferred but not essential.
Please note we start at 5am each morning and work until around 1pm but hours differ each day.
Pay: From £27,000.00 per year
