The primary focus of the post will be to work under the direction of the Inclusion and AP Task Force Lead as part of the professional team to support improved educational outcomes for our learners.
Within an agreed system of supervision, the Outreach Support Officer for SEMH (social emotional and mental health) will use their skills and knowledge to identify issues, attend meetings, provide advice and use solution-focused approaches to overcome challenges faced by our vulnerable learners that can impact on their education, achievement and progress.
The post holder will be expected to contribute towards progressing outcomes, recording and reporting on development as agreed with the Head of service and in accordance with national and local strategies/plans for this group of young people.
