This Isn't Just Another Workshop Job...
We're not looking for an average technician.
We're searching for an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician & Diagnostic Specialist who genuinely takes pride in their work and enjoys solving the jobs that other workshops can't.
If you're confident carrying out advanced diagnostics, timing chains, timing belts, engine repairs, cylinder head gaskets, engine strip downs and major mechanical repairs, we'd love to hear from you.
This is an opportunity to join one of the best-equipped independent Bosch Car Service Centres in the North East, working alongside an experienced team using some of the latest workshop technology available.

Established for over 16 years, Redgate Lodge Motor Group has grown into one of the UK's leading independent motor retailers.

Today we:
- Employ 46 members of staff
- Have a workshop team of 11 technicians and 5 experienced service advisors
- Retail between 120 and 150 vehicles every month
- Operate a busy Bosch Car Service Centre
- Carry out work for both retail and trade customers
- Maintain vehicle fleets for businesses including Euro Car Parts and GSF
- Are a Bosch Car Service Centre
- Are a Pagid Approved Braking Centre
- Are Shell Oil Approved

The Equipment You'll Be Working With

You'll have the tools you need to diagnose faults properly rather than spending hours guessing.
The Type of Work You'll Be Doing
This isn't just servicing and MOT repairs.
You'll regularly be involved with:
- Advanced diagnostics
- Engine management faults
- Timing belts
- Timing chains
- Cylinder head gasket replacement
- Engine strip downs and rebuilds
- Turbocharger replacement
- Clutch replacement
- Gearbox repairs
- Suspension repairs
- Electrical fault finding
- Petrol, diesel, hybrid and EV servicing
We're looking for someone who enjoys technical challenges and takes genuine satisfaction from solving difficult faults.
Who We're Looking For
Ideally you'll be an experienced technician working to a Master Technician equivalent standard.
You'll have excellent all-round knowledge across multiple vehicle manufacturers together with strong diagnostic ability.
You should be capable of working independently and confidently carrying out major mechanical repairs.

Full Time
40 hours per week
Monday to Friday
We understand everyone has different commitments, so flexible working hours are available, provided your contracted 40 hours are completed each week.
