About the Role
We are looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Female Personal Care Assistant (PA) to provide support to a friendly lady living in Great Sankey, Warrington.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys making a positive difference to someone's independence and quality of life. The role is initially for 8 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours becoming available in the future.
Flexibility is essential, as support may be required on weekdays and weekends. Working patterns and availability will be discussed during the interview process.
Essential Requirements
- The successful applicant must:
- Be female (occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010)
- Have fluent spoken and written English due to communication needs
- Be confident and comfortable around large dogs
- Be reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently
- Have a flexible approach to working hours
Desirable Requirements
It would be beneficial if you have:
- Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including mental health conditions, physical disabilities, mobility difficulties, and/or autism
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (although you will not be required to use your vehicle for work, as the employer has access to a Motability vehicle and drives herself)
- A non-smoking lifestyle
Main Duties
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Providing personal care and support with daily living tasks
- Assisting with medication management
- Preparing and cooking meals
- Supporting with shopping and errands
- Attending appointments and providing assistance when required
- Carrying out light household duties
- Supporting access to community activities and social opportunities
- Assisting with walking and caring for the employer's assistance dog
