We are now seeking to employ a shift Technician for our Tape Production Department (40 hours per week rotating dayshift/backshift).
Based in Southfield Industrial Estate, Glenrothes the successful candidate will have previous hands on experience working with production machinery, be able to demonstrate people management skills, have competent pc skills and be a logical thinker. A relevant NC/HNC is desirable. Reporting to the Tape Production & Development Manager, the role will include:
- Preventative & breakdown maintenance of all departmental equipment.
- Fault diagnosis and repair of control panels.
- Assisting all machine operators with Vision set-up using our bespoke hardware/software.
- Control of calibration & maintenance schedules, arranging external calibration of hand tools.
- Control of equipment spare parts and ordering replacements.
- Assist the R&D Department with equipment improvements and installations.
- Work with Toolroom personnel to ensure all tools are kept in good condition.
- Technical assistance to Operators/staff on shift.
- General facility maintenance and improvements.
- Training of new or existing personnel where required.
- Flexibility, team work, good communication.
- You may be required to train for a First Aid Qualification as part of this role.
A training plan will be included as part of this position which will be provided by our Tape Production & Development Department. During the training/probation period (minimum of 2 months) training may be carried out during dayshift hours.
Additional Details: -
- Dayshift hours - 40 hours per week. 6am-2pm Monday-Friday
- Backshift hours - 40 hours per week 2pm-Midnight Monday-Thursday
- A sixth shift allowance added once rotating shift commences.
- Pension provided by AEGON above government minimum contribution.
